O’Neill Has Best Quarter Yet
Momentum with Campaign as Candidate Given Clean Bill of Health by Doctors
WICKLIFFE, Ohio – Congressional candidate Bill O’Neill reported to the Federal Elections Commission today that his campaign had raised over $104,000 in the latest quarter, a number that no other challenger to Steve LaTourette has ever reached.
O’Neill, who has now raised more than $350,000 for the campaign, has been back as a full time candidate for a little over a month, keeping a full schedule in the office, attending events around the district, and working nights as a registered nurse in the pediatric emergency room at Hillcrest Hospital.
“I am very pleased that voters all across our district are responding to our message of leadership and change,” O’Neill’s campaign manager, Toby Fallsgraff, said. “Steve LaTourette has never faced an opponent with the kind of broad-based support and experience Bill brings to the table, and our fundraising is increasing every month. By autumn, we will be fully funded and able to take our message to TV, radio and people’s mail boxes. Stay tuned – this is about to get exciting!”
O’Neill said that the momentum is growing for the campaign.
“It’s clear that voters in Northeast Ohio are rallying to this campaign because they don’t like what they’re getting out of Washington these days,” he said. “Steve LaTourette’s campaign is being bankrolled by Big Oil and a cadre of Washington Lobbyists, and people want change. Our campaign is being fueled by families sick of paying more than $4 a gallon at the pump, sick of seeing health care premiums go up and jobs go abroad, and sick of a congressman who votes for the big corporations and against Ohio families. Our message is taking hold, and the momentum is with us. It’s only going to get closer.”
